Tidal Wave Auto Spa | Car Wash

Absolutely terrible experience. The website claims they open at 8am, but they are almost never actually open at that time. Multiple visits have been wasted due to employees not showing up or the location being unexpectedly closed for “maintenance.” Prices have increased, yet reliability has clearly gone down. On the rare occasions they are open, the towels are often wet and dirty, and the customer service is consistently poor. Completely frustrating and not worth the time or money.

I recently relocated to Lexington and it was difficult to find a car wash that didn’t leave residue or miss significant amounts of the vehicle. After 5 different companies, I finally found Tidal Wave. The difference was immediate—not just in the quality of the wash, but in the warmth of the staff. From day one, they greeted me with genuine friendliness and took time to explain their services without any pressure. Every visit since has been the same: welcoming smiles and helpful attitudes that show they actually care about their customers. The wash itself is outstanding. My car comes out spotless every time with no streaks, residue, or missed spots. But honestly, while the excellent results brought me here, it’s the staff that keeps me coming back. They’ve turned a frustrating chore into a pleasant experience and were absolutely a factor in my decision to make this my regular car wash. Highly recommend to anyone in the Lexington area looking for quality work and quality people.

Always a good experience here, prices are reasonable and I feel like it gets my car cleaner than other places. Came through today and the iPad they take payment on had died, and they gave me the nicest wash for free. He totally didn’t have to do that, just because of that I’ll only come here now. Thanks!

Tidal Wave has the nicest employees and I really appreciate there is always someone to manually wash the front and back of my car before I go through the machine. They also always spray off my all weather mats! I was a little bummed about the closures in January/February, otherwise no complaints!

I used to go to Zips on Sharkey Way, but now I drive all the way across town to the Tidal Wave on Richmond Road—and it’s absolutely worth it. The service is top-notch every time. Just check out the tires: they look wet, like glassy mirrors, but they’re absolutely dry. The crew is professional, hardworking, and always takes the extra time to brush down the car before it enters the wash. They even clean my floor mats. I couldn’t be more pleased. My only complaint? Build more of these. We need more Tidal Waves around town!
